Diwali, the festival of lights, celebrated with fervor and joy at Viveka Foundations Sr. Sec. School on 8 November 2023 was a grand event that brought together students, teachers, parents, and the local community. The fair was organized as an Interhouse event, with each of the four houses namely, Aryabhatt, Chaitanya, Major Somnath Sharma and Rabindranath Tagore, setting up their stalls for food and games.

In the food section, “Aryabhatt” house prepared delicious “Fried Rice” with a variety of chutneys and spices. "Chaitanya" house offered sweet corn and “Jaljeera”, while "Major Somnath Sharma" house prepared “Bhelpuri”. "Rabindranath Tagore" house delighted everyone with their “Fruit Chaat”. Students, teachers and Parents thoroughly enjoyed these mouthwatering delicacies.

To facilitate transactions, the students obtained coupons from the respective staff members, which acted as currency to purchase the food items. This system allowed for a smooth and organized process of buying and enjoying the delectable treats.

In the games section, there were numerous exciting activities for the participants. One popular game was "Popping The Balloons" using darts. Students were able to win prizes such as notebooks, sharpeners, pens, chocolates, and more. Another engaging game was "Ring Toss," where students had the opportunity to win various prizes. Additionally, there was a game of "shooting the ball at the imaginary man and bowling," which provided entertainment for all. The game of "Flip the Bottle" also gathered much attention and enjoyment from the attendees.

The students also displayed their creativity and entrepreneurial skills by selling their “ *Handmade Paintings* ” and “ *Best Out Of Waste* ” projects. The visitors showed great interest in these unique items, further enhancing the overall experience of the fair.

“The School Founder and Director, Madam KusumRana”, along with “The School Principal, Dr. MousamiThapa”, actively participated in the fair. They visited each food and game counter, providing motivation to all involved and enjoying various games themselves. Their presence added to the excitement and encouraged the students to showcase their talents.

To enrich the fair further, parents of the students contributed to its splendor by setting up their own stalls, offering a diverse range of items. This infusion of parental love and support added an extra dimension to the fair, providing unique experiences for the students and fostering a deeper connection between the school and the parents.

The Diwali Fair at Viveka Foundations Sr. Sec. School was a tremendous success. It not only enriched the overall development of the children but also provided them with unique experiences. The fair brought together the school community and the local community, fostering a sense of unity and celebration during the festive season.
