Cross Country Race

VIVEKA FOUNDATIONS ORGANISED A METEORIC INTER-HOUSE CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIP

 

The Inter-House Cross Country Championship was organised by Viveka Foundations on 4 th November 2023. The 3 Km route of the cross-country race passed through a variety of terrain. Students and House teachers made the most of this opportunity by displaying great zeal and avidity.

 

The event was instigated from the starting point Himalayan Adventure Off-Road Cafe at 9:30 a.m. with the flag hoisting by the School Director Mrs Kusum Rana and the School Principal Dr Mousami Thapa. The race was set off at a great pace and momentum with the participation of 56 students and 8 teachers from remarkable four houses.

 

This endeavour by School Chairman Col. S.S. Rana and School Director Mrs Kusum Rana ushered a sense of cooperation, motivation and vigour to win with a positive spirit not only among students but also among teachers. Event In-Charge H/SUB MAJ Kewal Rana collocated the student volunteers and teachers at various checkpoints for the smooth running of the event. The course is carefully planned to provide a challenging yet safe experience for participants with ‘Turning Point’ at Café Hideout and Finishing Point as ‘Himalayan Adventure Off-Road Café’.

 

The 2 hr event marked its end with the award ceremony by Honorable School Director Mrs Kusum Rana and School Principal Dr Mousami Thapa. Among Boys the first position was grabbed by Ragahav Uppal (Class IX) Aryabhatt House, Vaibhav (Class X) Major Somnath Sharma House got the second position; Armaan (Class X) Rabindranath Tagore House secured third position. Among girls, Priyal & Aarohi (Class VIII) Aryabhatt House stood first; Ananya (Class X) grabbed the second position & Riya (Class X) Major Somnath Sharma House got third position.

 

Among teachers, Mr Amit Khan, Rabindranath Tagore House entitled the first position, Mrs Ishu Rana, Aryabhatt House grabbed the second position and Miss Ankita Sood, Major Somnath Sharma House secured third position.

 

School Director Mrs Kusum Rana congratulated the winners and the participants for the enthusiastic event. Such events promote physical fitness, teamwork, and healthy competition among students. Also provides an opportunity for personal growth, fosters house spirit, and leaves a lasting impact on participants.
