An interactive counselling session on bullying awareness, empathy, and supportive peer relationships was conducted for the students of *Class VII* by *Ms. Arsha Rani* (PGT Psychology & School Counsellor) and *Ms. Mannat* (School Alumna & Psychology Intern).
The session began with a *reflective discussion* in which students were encouraged to share their experiences of feeling left out, having a difficult day, or receiving support from a friend. This helped students connect personally with the theme of the session.
Students then watched the short video *“Are You Okay?”,* which highlighted the *impact of bullying*, the *importance of standing up for others*, and the value of checking in on someone who may be struggling. A guided discussion followed, during which students identified different forms of bullying, explored the emotions of the characters, and reflected on the role of empathy and bystander support.
The session emphasized the *importance of kindness*, inclusion, and creating a safe and supportive classroom environment. Students actively participated throughout the discussion and demonstrated thoughtful insights into how small acts of care can positively influence the well-being of others.
Overall, the session was engaging, reflective, and successful in promoting empathy, emotional awareness, and positive peer relationships among students.
