The school celebrated English Language Day with great enthusiasm and active participation from students across all classes. The day was thoughtfully planned to enhance students’ communication skills, creativity, and appreciation for the English language.
The celebration began with a Junior Assembly, where students presented a lively and engaging role play of renowned literary figures. Pratyush of Class 3 portrayed R.K. Narayan, while Ananya Bharadwaj represented Toru Dutt. Charvi of Class 4 beautifully enacted Sarojini Naidu, and Gourav took on the role of Rabindranath Tagore. The performances were confident and expressive, making the assembly both educational and entertaining for the young audience.
In the Senior Assembly, Divyansha of Class 6 delivered an informative and inspiring speech on the significance of English Language Day. This was followed by an interesting segment of Fun Facts about English, presented by Shourya and Aditya of Class 9, which added curiosity and excitement among the students.
The assembly continued with an impressive role play session where Reeva of Class 9 portrayed Subhadra Kumari Chauhan, Moksh of Class 8 enacted R.K. Narayan, Vimarsh represented Rabindranath Tagore, and Tanishka performed as Kamala Das. The students showcased excellent speaking skills and a deep understanding of the literary personalities they represented.
A series of interactive activities were conducted throughout the day to engage students actively. The Tongue Twister Challenge brought fun and excitement while helping students improve their pronunciation and fluency. The Pick and Speak activity encouraged spontaneous speaking and boosted students’ confidence.
A unique initiative was taken by the students of Class 9, who visited different classrooms and collected the best thoughts from students. This activity promoted interaction, creativity, and the sharing of ideas across classes.
Additionally, students of Classes 6, 7, 8, and 9 participated in a creative activity where they prepared Self-Introduction Booklets. Through this, students expressed their personalities, interests, and aspirations in English, enhancing both their writing and presentation skills.
Overall, the celebration of English Language Day was a grand success. It provided a wonderful platform for students to express themselves, build confidence, and develop a deeper connection with the English language. The enthusiasm and participation of students made the day truly memorable.
