*Annual Firing Practice (NCC)* 

The *Annual Firing Practice* for NCC cadets of *5 HP Battalion NCC, Dharamshala* was conducted successfully on *22 January 2026* at the *Firing Range, Alihilal,* under the guidance and supervision of NCC authorities.

First Year NCC cadets participated enthusiastically in the activity and reported at the firing range in *proper NCC uniform* , maintaining discipline and decorum throughout the event. Prior to firing, cadets were briefed in detail about *safety precautions, handling of rifles, firing positions, and range commands* by the concerned firing range staff and instructors.

The cadets were given hands-on training in the *prone firing position* , where they demonstrated focus, confidence, and obedience to commands. Strict safety measures were followed at all times, and the firing practice was conducted in a highly organized and disciplined manner.

The activity proved to be a valuable learning experience for the cadets, enhancing their *confidence, discipline, sense of responsibility, and understanding of weapon handling* . The event concluded smoothly, reflecting excellent coordination between *5 HP BN NCC staff, school authorities, and cadets* .

Overall, the Annual Firing Practice was conducted successfully and achieved its objective of imparting practical military training to NCC cadets.
