Tagda Raho – A Celebration of Strength and Spirit

Viveka Foundations Senior Secondary School, Mansimbal, celebrated its 16th Annual Sports Meet, themed “Tagda Raho”, on 3rd January 2026 with great enthusiasm, discipline, and vibrant participation. The event reflected the school’s unwavering commitment to the holistic development of students by nurturing physical fitness, teamwork, self-discipline, and confidence.

The celebrations commenced with Divine Dawn, marking the welcoming of guests, followed by the Flag Hoisting Ceremony and the soulful rendition of the National Anthem, instilling a sense of pride and patriotism. The impressive March Past – “Stride of Pride” by the student contingents showcased discipline, unity, and coordination. The ceremonial Torch Lighting – “Flame of Valour” symbolised the true spirit of sportsmanship and fair play.

The programme beautifully blended sports, culture, and values. Classical music presentations such as “Echoes of Heritage” (Raag Bihag) and “Melodies of Dawn” (Raag Bhairavi) added a serene and cultural dimension to the event. Young learners captivated the audience with Bat Drill, Hockey and Pom-Pom Drill, and other playful yet skill-based performances under segments like “Tiny Titans in Action” and “Little Champs Carnival.”

Energetic performances including Gymnastics, Dumbbell and Flag Drill, Lazium & Ball PT, Boxing, Skating, and Karate Demonstration – “Warriors Within” highlighted strength, agility, balance, and self-defence skills across different age groups. The Yoga Performance – “Balance of Body and Mind”, including presentations by boarding students, left the audience deeply impressed with its poise and discipline.

A special highlight of the day was “Golden Years, Golden Cheers”, where grandparents actively participated in games such as Tug of War and Musical Chairs, spreading joy and reinforcing the school’s strong belief in inter-generational bonding. The segment “Voices of Trust”, featuring parents’ interviews, reflected the faith and confidence families place in the institution.

The event concluded with a Prize Distribution Ceremony, honouring students for their outstanding achievements. Awards such as Best House, Best NCC Contingent, and Best Marching Squad were presented, along with certificates and medals to deserving participants. The prestigious rolling trophy for excellence in marching was also awarded, celebrating dedication and teamwork.

The Valedictory Moment, marked by the Flag Closing Ceremony, formally brought the Annual Sports Meet to a dignified close. The school management committee appreciated the collective efforts of students, teachers, sports faculty, and support staff, acknowledging that Viveka Foundations continues to set high standards in Kangra district through its balanced focus on academics, sports, and values.

In essence, the 16th Annual Sports Meet – “Tagda Raho” was not merely a sporting event, but a powerful celebration of strength, unity, discipline, and community spirit.
