*Running Towards Excellence: Annual Cross-Country Race 2025*
On 27 December 2025, Viveka Foundations Senior Secondary School, Mansimbal, successfully organised its Annual Inter-House Cross-Country Race, showcasing remarkable sportsmanship and enthusiasm. Conducted amidst dense pine forests and picturesque tea gardens, the 3-kilometre race provided an invigorating and memorable experience for both students and staff.
The event was honoured by the gracious presence of the Chief Guest, Mrs. Poonam Sud (wife of Late Brigadier Deepak Sud, an RIMC alumnus), along with Mr. Rajeev Sud. The race was ceremoniously flagged off by the Founder Principal & Director, Mrs. Kusum Rana, and the Principal, Mrs. Manisha Aggarwal, in the presence of the distinguished guests.
Special attention was given to the health and safety of participants throughout the race. Adequate arrangements for first aid, drinking water, and energy drinks were made at various points along the route. The inclusion of a token-collection challenge at the midpoint added a strategic and engaging dimension to the race.
The race concluded at the school playground, where participants were welcomed with loud cheers and applause as they crossed the finish line. The atmosphere was charged with excitement, encouragement, and a strong sense of achievement.
Teachers and faculty members also actively participated, making the event inclusive and vibrant. Mrs. Shivani Thakur secured first place, followed by Mrs. Ishu and Mrs. Kavita in second place. The third position was jointly secured by Mrs. Sunaina and Ms. Sakshi.
*Winners – Boys’ Category* :
In the boys’ category, Aditya Bhanglia from Major Somnath Sharma House secured the first position, followed by Tsering Angdus in second place. Aarav Rana from Rabindranath Tagore House proudly claimed the third position.
*Winners – Girls’ Category* :
In the girls’ category, Himani from Rabindranath Tagore House and Ananya from Chaitanya House jointly secured the first position. Sonisha from Major Somnath Sharma House achieved second place, while Aarushi secured the third position.
Dignified Prize Distribution Ceremony
A dignified prize distribution ceremony was organised thereafter, where medals were awarded to the winners. The Chief Guest Mrs. Poonam Sud, Mr. Rajeev Sud, Mrs. Kusum Rana, and Mrs. Manisha Aggarwal felicitated the students and teachers. The joy on the winners’ faces and the thunderous applause from the audience made the moment truly memorable.

Sharing her thoughts on the successful event, Mrs. Kusum Rana stated that the cross-country race was not merely a test of physical endurance but also a powerful means to instil values such as teamwork, patience, discipline, and perseverance among students.
