Viveka Foundations Sr. Sec. School, Mansimbal, Palampur celebrated its 18th Annual Function – Gangautsav with great splendour and enthusiasm on 15th October 2025. The theme of the celebration, “Maharashtra, Gujarat & Rajasthan – From glorious past, to colonial struggle, to cultural rebirth”, beautifully highlighted India’s unity in diversity and its glorious heritage.
The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Dr. D.K. Chaudhary (IPS), DIG/Principal, HP Police Training College, Daroh, as the Chief Guest. The school’s Chairman, Col. S.S. Rana, Founder Principal and Director, Mrs. Kusum Rana, and Principal, Mrs. Manisha Aggarwal also graced the occasion with their distinguished presence.
The celebration commenced with a warm welcome of the Chief Guest and dignitaries, followed by a serene Saraswati Vandana and Lamp Lighting Ceremony, symbolizing enlightenment and knowledge. The Namaste Speech extended heartfelt greetings to all, marking an auspicious beginning.
The event began on a devotional note with the Ganesh Speech and Dance, invoking divine blessings. Thereafter, the audience was taken on a cultural journey through Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Rajasthan, showcasing the spiritual, patriotic, and artistic essence of India.
Performances such as the Role Play of Dnyaneshwar Mauli, Koli Dance, and Instrumental Presentation captured the devotional spirit of Maharashtra. The Role Play of Jatayu, Ramayan Dance, Panna Dhai Act, and Maharana Pratap Act brought alive the courage and sacrifices of Rajasthan’s heroes.
Dances and speeches by Vanya, Aanav, Harshita, Bhairvi, and Aavya kept the audience entertained and connected throughout. The Gandhi Train Act, Charkha Scene, and Dandi March paid tribute to the Father of the Nation and his ideals. The Role Play of Jhaverchand Meghani, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, and Panna Lal Patel, along with the Gujarati Dance, Song, and Garba, celebrated the pride and cultural richness of Gujarat.
Anshuman’s filler jokes added light-hearted moments and laughter, while the graceful Lawani dance served as a grand and vibrant finale.
The Award Ceremony honoured meritorious students for their achievements in academics, sports, and co-curricular activities. The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks, expressing sincere gratitude to all who contributed to the success of Gangautsav 2025.
The day truly embodied the spirit of the function’s motto —
“विद्या से संस्कार, संस्कृति से उत्थान”
