 Visit to NIT Hamirpur

*Introduction*:

Viveka Foundations school recently organized a visit to the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Hamirpur, formerly known as Regional Engineering College (REC) Hamirpur, established in 1984 and upgraded to NIT in 2003 by the Parliament of India. This visit aimed to provide students with insight into the facilities, academic environment, and opportunities available at NIT Hamirpur.

Itinerary:

1. *Activity* *Center*:

The visit commenced with a tour of the Activity Center, showcasing the various extracurricular activities and facilities available to students.

2. *Central* *Workshop* *and* *Departmental* *Labs*:

Next, we visited the Central Workshop and labs of various departments, gaining hands-on experience with cutting-edge equipment and technology.

3. *Physics* *Department*:

Dr. Arvind conducted an engaging session at the Physics Department, explaining innovative research projects and experiments.

4. *Computer* *Science* *Department*:

Dr. Rajeev hosted an informative session at the Computer Science Department, discussing the latest developments and advancements in the field.

5. *Alumni* *Interaction*:

We had the privilege of meeting our alumni, Arihant and Abhay Jaggi, who shared valuable insights on securing positions at NIT and strategies for preparing for JEE Mains and Advanced.

6. *Student* *Interaction*:

During lunch at Vidyanchal Hostel, our students interacted with NIT students, gaining firsthand knowledge about life at NIT Hamirpur and tips for success.

*Conclusion*:

The visit to NIT Hamirpur was an enriching experience, providing our students with a deeper understanding of the opportunities and resources available at a premier technical institution. We are grateful for the warm hospitality and valuable guidance received during our visit.
